Welcome

Welcome to Connection Carpentry.

Our team has been elevating building projects since it was founded in 2014 by owner Ashley Innes. Today we work with commercial and private residential clients on everything from refurbishments to new builds, on projects of £5k to £5m. We are also specialist accredited fire door fitters. Our personal service sets us apart.

In your area

Based in the Cotswolds, we have an unrelenting passion for creating the finest projects and finishes for our clients whose projects typically tend to be located in Bristol, Oxford, Birmingham and everywhere in between.

Ash Innes

Who we are

Owner and director Ashley Innes is a qualified carpenter and began his career in construction as an apprentice for a local contractor.

An army reservist, he approaches every project with a unique level of planning, organisation, control and focus on quality.

Smartly executed

Accredited & Assured.

We have our own dedicated H&S consultant and 100% track record in Health and Safety. Concept is SMAS Worksafe accredited, which means our sites are all fully compliant and all our team trained to the highest standards. Testament to this, many of our projects have won leading industry Health and Safety awards: evidence of our commitment and abilities.

Our legacy

In the community.

You’ll regularly find us involved in local good causes. Everything from using our joinery skills to support local community events, to running marathons to raise much needed funds for local schools. For example, Ash has run 105 miles across the Cotswold Way, raising more than £10,000 for St Roses School in Stroud, where education, therapy and day and residential care is provided for children and students aged 2 to 25, with a wide range of disabilities, including autism.

This is just one example of the many local causes the team continues to help.

The next generation.

We operate our own apprenticeship programme. In a short space of time since establishing the scheme, four apprentices have already qualified.

National Trust

In Swindon at the National Trust's striking HQ Heelis building we carefully handcrafted metres of beautiful joinery throughout the £14.5m building. It is considered one of the greenest office buildings in England incorporating silent, natural ventilation and open-plan meeting spaces.

St James Place

– Cirencester

We helped UK wealth management business and FTSE 100 company St James Place to create its impressive £15m headquarters building in Cirencester. The building boosts high end finishes including the finest carpentry and joinery showcasing beautiful black American Walnut throughout.

Cheltenham Racecourse

Cheltenham Racecourse is home of The Centaur, one of largest auditoria in the South West. We’re proud to have played an integral role in The Centaur’s development, and also in the later £45m racecourse redevelopment, a Jockey Club project.

Concorde Museum

We were part of the team responsible for transforming two WW1 hangers at Filton Airfield into Aerospace Bristol – a museum dedicated to showcasing Bristol’s aerospace heritage. The iconic supersonic plane, Concorde, was designed, tested and built here.
